Life is a combination of magic and pasta (Federico Fellini)

For everyone, from beginners to accomplished home cooks, the classes are a mix of demonstration and hands-on participation.

You'll learn:

  • the science behind the best fresh Italian pasta

  • how to orient yourself in the peculiar flour classification system

  • how to knead a pasta dough by hand

  • how to create some of the most traditional fresh pasta shapes

  • how to prepare a simple and tasty sauce

  • how to cook fresh pasta

  • all the Italian cooking secrets in order to make fresh homemade pasta on your own

We will finish with a lovely dinner including a seasonal salad, homemade sourdough bread and wine.

Class for beginners.


Discover the unique flavours and health benefits of sourdough baking. The classes are a mix of scientific and hands-on demonstrations.

You'll learn:

  • the basic biology and chemistry of sourdough

  • how to prepare your own sourdough starter

  • how to refresh and maintain healthy your sourdough culture

  • how to use a sourdough starter to make bread

  • how to knead a bread dough by hand

  • all the fundamentals of baking sourdough bread

From our workshop, you will take home a jar of sourdough and your own bread dough with you, along with new knowledge and confidence, in order to continue your personal "sourdough-bread-adventure" at home.



Discover methods and techniques how to make Italian sourdough pizza at home. The classes are a mix of scientific and hands-on demonstrations.

The course is also suitable for "pizza-maker novices".
For those who want to deepen their knowledge of sourdough, we recommend that you first attend the bread course.

You'll learn:

  • the science behind the best Italian pizza

  • how to refresh and maintain healthy your sourdough culture

  • how to orient yourself when choosing flour for a pizza dough

  • how to knead a pizza dough by hand

  • how to shape a dough into a pizza by hand

  • tips and tricks for baking delicious homemade pizza

We will finish tasting our sourdough pizza, just out of the oven!
You will also take a jar of sourdough and your own pizza dough with you in order to practise your "pizzaiolo" (pizza maker) skills at home.

Class for begginers

Our fermentation courses are - not only but especially - interesting for people in community gardens, SoLaWi / CSA and Berlin allotment garden colonies.

Fermentation becomes for you an everyday sustainable way to deal with changing amounts of vegetables. At the same time you will learn a wonderful way to "decelerate" your everyday life and to practice more presence in everyday life.

Fermentation is one of the oldest techniques to preserve food. This preservation method is simple, inexpensive, sustainable, produces aroma and intense flavor, and provides us with wonderful support for our microbiome and health.
This lively food not only strengthens our immune system - it also promotes our physical and mental well-being! For us, a healthy diet, mindfulness and sustainability go hand-in-hand - in a very practical way.

You learn:

  •  What you need for your own fermenting. We work without much technique - you learn fermenting with cutting board and knife.

  • Cutting board and knife are your meditation teachers. You learn to perceive yourself in your body in a better, new way.

  • How to make vegetables ferment. From "mashing" and "massaging" - the better the preparation, the tastier the result.

  • Troubleshooting tips. Mistakes are inevitable and necessary for learning - but you don't have to repeat every mistake.

  • How to store fermented vegetables. The shelf life of fermented vegetables and what you can do to keep them at their best.

  • The science behind lactic acid fermentation. Background information on chemistry and biology of fermentation.

You will be amazed how easy and fast you can prepare vegetables for fermentation!
